More good investment advice

More from Donald Coxe:

Ignore the sneering comments from that minority of scientists and journalists who claim Avian Flu is being hyped by a few chicken-little scientists eager to attract attention and grants. Almost every catastrophe has been predicted by some and ridiculed by others. The failure of the “...the balance of responsible opinion is on the side of those who say the threat is real...” New Orleans levees was predicted by the Army Corps of Engineers thirty years ago, but their program to divert excess water buildup in Lake Pontchartrain directly into the Mississippi was successfully blocked in a lawsuit by environmentalists who showed that the outflow could damage wetlands that were protected under federal regulation. The court wasn't impressed with the probabilistic risk of a Category 4 or 5 Hurricane. We aren't scientists, but we are persuaded that the balance of responsible opinion is on the side of those who say the threat is real, and if the virus "learns" how to move directly from mortal to mortal, the outcome will be a disaster of historic dimensions.
